Another great release in which Paulo and his extraordinary extended Sardinian guitar – larger than a standard guitar and augmented with two banks of sympathetic strings, a set of foot operated hammers (each linked to a primary string) and a series of motorised propellers – extrapolate outward from tunes by Radiohead. Hard to credit – as I always say, I know, but true nonetheless – that this is one person and one instrument. And it’s intensely musical. If you know Paulo already (this is his 11th release for us) you’’ll be snapping this one up; if not, start here. A rare talent.
